The views from the terrace of the apartment are simply stunning. Taking in the bay of Nerja and the mountain range of the Sierra De Almijara as well as glorious open views to the mediterranean sea making it the perfect spot to wake up and take in the beautiful sunrise.
Torrox Costa
Torrox Costa is a popular seaside resort and the area boasts the best climate in Europe. There is a great selection of bars, restaurants and shops on the 'Paseo Maritimo' (promenade) as well as lovely beaches with chiringuitos (beach bars) serving freshly caught fish.
You can also visit the pretty pueblo blanco of Torrox pueblo, a 4 km drive inland where you can explore the narrow streets of the old town with its Moorish history.

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. Ventanas al Mar is a beautiful, luxurious apartment located within walking distance to the popular El Penoncillo beach where you can snorkel between the rocks or spend the day sunbathing on the beach and enjoy a seafood lunch at one of the many chiringuitos.
Within a 5 minute drive you can visit the two coastal resorts of Torrox and Nerja with their beaches, restaurants and shopping.
The interior of Andalusia is easily accessible where you can take a drive and explore the pretty 'pueblo blancos'. This mountainous area also offers a wealth of hiking and outdoor activity opportunities.
The Area
Costa del Sol
The Costa Del Sol continues to be one of the most popular holiday destinations in the whole of Spain with on average 300 days of sunshine per year.
With its many blue flag beaches, delicious food & wines, rich cultural history and of course the famous 'fiestas' this area offers tourists everything they could wish for!
La Axarquía
Axarquía is a region in the province of Malaga, east of the city of Malaga itself. It borders the province of Granada to the east, to the north Antequera, the Málaga region to the west and of course the Mediterranean, Costa Del Sol to the south.
Geographically, it lies between the Montes de Malaga and the foothills of the Sierra Nevada.

In 2001 myself and my wife Caroline made the exciting decision to relocate to Andalusia from Suffolk in the UK. We worked in Suffolk for 20 years in the hospitality industry managing a hotel and restaurant and eventually running our own successful country pub and restaurant business.
We had already bought a small village property in Spain to renovate with the intention of spending some free time there but primarily as a rental investment. During this time we both fell in love with Sedella (our Spanish village), the area of the Axarquia and the Spanish way of life. Suddenly we realized that to move to Spain permanently was a realistic proposition and within a few short months we had sold our house and started our Spanish adventure.
After buying another 'renovation project' to live in we started a property care and maintenance business looking after holiday rentals, basing ourselves here within this beautiful and natural environment.
In 2013 Second Home Andalusia was born, a property finding business we started in partnership with our Dutch friends which today takes up most of our time.
With the desire to spend more time on the beautiful coastline of the Axarquia as well as living in our mountain village we invested in our apartment Ventanas al Mar in Torrox Costa where ,when time allows, we enjoy the views of the Mediterranean as well relaxing on the beach and dining in some of our favourite beach bars and restaurants.
